Auditions in 2 Weeks

Auditions for The Little Mermaid will be in two weeks, on Tuesday September 5 and September 6 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Interested actors will need to sign up for a time and bring forms (link and PDFs to be posted soon). Young children who can not read should prepare a poem; older actors will be asked to read selections from the script.

For the musical part of auditions, we ask that young actors prepare a short selection of "My Country Tis of Thee." Singing will be "a cappella," without musical accompaniment (see this link for one version of this song). Actors may be asked by the musical director to attempt holding a note or singing along with her.

The most important thing in any audition is to do your best and have fun, even if you make a mistake. We are cheering you on and look forward to meeting you soon.

The time is now!!

Auditions are just around the corner on September 6th and 7th, so it's time to sign up for an audition space. Please follow this link to sign up for a time. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0D45AFA729ABFA7-auditions

Attached to this post is the paperwork that needs to be completed and brought to the audition. There will also be copies there for you to complete, but doing them beforehand will speed the process of auditioning significantly. There is also a form to complete for being part of the tech crew. You do not need to sign up for an audition time, just bring the completed form during the audition times (between 5pm and 7pm on either the 6th or 7th.)

We are really excited for this production! It is different from anything Smiles and Frowns Playhouse has done in the past. First, there's Shakespeare; second, there's three different shows happening; third, the audience will be getting the chance to "pull back the curtain," and see what sometimes happens backstage. Come be part of the fun or come watch it in November!
